“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” ― Edgar Degas

I was inspired by Edgar Degas - he painted a lot of amazing still lifes beside of many other stuff - specially I like his ballet paintings... but that would be much too difficult for me,  since I am not good in painting and drawing the human figure. My still life is  meant for our
"Inspired by the Masters "theme over at AJJ.

~Edgar Degas
Gedacht für unser "INSPIRIERT VON DEN MEISTERN " Thema bei AJJ.

  10. I have never been interested in painting still life as it has never really appealed to me but you have created s very modern looking piece. I love the colours.I have been toying with the idea of using an old photo of my Aunt as a child dressed as a ballerina as inspiration for a Degas style painting but not sure if I can do justice to his style.

  17. It's true that when I hear the name Degas, I think of his ballerinas and the ballet pictures he drew. But I also liked his still life paintings, and you created a fantastic piece, quite similar to his style. Very, very impressive.

BTW, I don't know who chose this AJJ challenge, but I'm really, really loving it!
