Charles Lindberg Quote

If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes.
~ Charles Lindberg

And  for my dear friends over at / und  für meine lieben Freunde bei

I took a photo of  this funny cup  at Tate Modern's Shop as I visited London

  1. Gorgeous pages Susi, the mug is really funny, that would make a great present for a cheer up:-) xxx

  2. What a great page again Susi, love the colours and the design!!!and yes the mug is so funny, it's a while ago since I was in London, it seems to be interesting!!

  4. Was für ein wunderbares Werk, wahnsinnig schön. Und der Spruch macht einen nachdenklich ...

Die Tasse ist ja witzig, hihi ...

    Sonnige Grüße
    von Anke

  6. I got a good laugh at that "complimentary" mug. It was funny, clever, and artsy, too.

It's ironic that Lindberg would say that, because birds have a tendency to bring airplanes down. So both the birds and (often) the people in the planes are killed. Putting that aside, I really like the spread.

Thanks for sharing your fun art and funny mug with us for T this Tuesday, dear Susi.

  8. What a great mug you found Susi--were they on sale or just to admire.?

The artwork today is wonderful and I imagine each of us with our own bird flying here and there--wonderful.

    Love Chrissie xx

  10. Gorgeous Susi! Love your birds and that quote is amazing and SO TRUE!! Great page! hugs :)

  11. Oh yes, birds every time, and books.
Superb minimalist page, with the birds' tails hanging over the edge of the pages.
What a great "complimentary" mug, thanks for showing, I think I want one.

  12. Ah I absolutely adore your little birdies Susi, they always look so happy! Love that mug too and I hope you bought it ;)
    Big hugs
