20 / 99 faces

Her face ( I took this reference ) was drawn with pastel and charcoal on sketch paper .  I fixed the drawing with acrylic binder (works like Modge Podge or Gel Medium) which I also used to glue on all the different scraps of paper ,  handmade and commercial ones and I finished her face off with  a thin layer of acrylic white  gesso and some accents of pastels - it was like putting on make-up.

I love her fair skin.

And I like all the scraps for her hair and the background.

Collage is such a wonderful thing!
As you know we have the theme collage  at AJJ

but there is recommended some Journaling on your collage - so I did some Journaling as well.
Art Journal Journey

I wrote to her, that it was a gift getting to know her and that she was a wonderful person.

She died in 2004 at the age of 94.

Even though I was more than  50 years younger than she was   - we were bound together in friendship. I am really thankful to got her known. She was over 80 in this picture - the woman in the middle -

I am the  person  on the right side.

She is also meant for   99 FACES  and  SHOW YOUR FACE.

Thank you for your continuously visits and all the lovely comments you leave me here   -  I  appreciate this very much !

Schön von deiner Freundschaft mit dieser alten Frau zu lesen. Freundschaft kennt zum Glück keine Grenzen, nicht des Alters, der Nationalität, des Geschlechts oder der Hautfarbe, genau wie die Liebe.
