Not brave enough to write directly on your Art Journal pages?

May the blue bird of happiness fly up your nose.

Chinese proverb and inspiration for the spread comes from HERE

Naturally meant for Winter Wonderland at

Art Journal Journey

If you are not brave enough to write a quote directly on your pages you can try out following simple  trick.  I do this from time to time and it always works for me.

I write the text with my Pentel Ink brush on tissue paper  and when I am satisfied with my text, I glue it to my page with Modge Podge, Acrylic Binder or Gel Medium. Easy and advisable.
I often need three or more attempts for being satisfied with my lettering.

You have to make sure that the pen you use is waterproof - otherwise it would smear.

The tissue paper melts nearly invisible into the background and you hardly can see that it's not written directly on the page. You also can stamp a quote with archival ink (waterproof) on the tissue paper if you absolutely don't like to write by hand and then glue this to the Art Journal pages.

THANKS a lot for coming by and have a great day you all!

  4. Love the bird, love the quote, but most of all, love the tip. Although I knew about this for stamping, it is one of those things I've never tried. I would never have suspected what pen to use, either, but now I will know when I decide to write on my pages again. Thanks for being such an inspiration.

Many many years ago my Mutti and I were in a store reading silly cards. That verse took us over the top and we could not stop laughing.
