Enjoy Life - das Leben genießen

I wish you a  Happy T Day
along with everyone over at Elizabeth’s Altered Book Lover
I want to share a portrait today for the 99 Faces Challenge and it's also meant for
the last day of this theme since we will start a new topic tomorrow.
Mixed Media including newspaper scraps,
white gesso, watersoluble watercolorsticks, colored pencil- format - A4

I don't know what the girl on my painting is drinking - but she seems to like her drink.

For ART JOURNAL JOURNEY

I have a hybrid page that I made for_
If You Go Down To The Woods

with a background in progress in one of my
Altered Books -

used  some free picmonkey layers and elements.

  5. Love your pages today Susi. That girl is amazing. I like how you really captture the skin- it looks like real skin (which is assume it is not-ha-ha). You really know how to draw a face. And that hybrid piece is very playful and fun! Enjoy your day! Hugs-Erika

  9. Your girl with the cup is beautiful. Something I would like to hang on the wall.
The trees are also beautiful. I have not used Picmonkey. Still struggling to learn Adobe Photoshop. (The birthday present to myself).
    Have a good week,

  10. Your lovely girl enjoying her drink is impressive and wonderful. I love her.

Your background of trees and forest speaks to me. I've heard of PicMonkey, but never been to the site.

I hope your daughter is doing OK. A broken hand sounds serious to me. Thanks for sharing your art and your awesome cup with us for T this Tuesday. Please wish your daughter a safe and speedy recovery.

What a great transformation of your lovely journal pages into a woodland picture, it's wonderfully delicate photo-editing.

  29. May I also add that I am always amazed at how well you integrate your journal work with digital media. I dabble a little on the digital side but not enough to really marry the two well yet. I did use a journal background that I altered slightly to create a background on a work presentation for my boss. It was so funny! He came back from his out-of-state meeting grinning and saying how he had received MANY complimentary comments on the originality of his slides. Of course, everyone else uses the "canned" options within the presentations software--but not me! I have to have a little bit of myself in anything that I get an opportunity to "create" for others. I still find it amazing that they all noticed (especially since most of them were men??) and also bothered to comment on his presentation. It made me extremely happy. Have a great day, Susi!
