T-Stands for Memories on Biology Lessons

I wasn't a very interested schoolgirl - but I liked some subjects  much more than others. Biology was a neutral zone for me since I found it quite interesting and one thing I learned each year again was a simple form of the  Recapitualation Theory.  This will be in my head forever!

I painted a little watercolor birdie in one of my Altered Books which happens to be an old book about  natural sciences and wrote down the sentence about embryonic development and evolution that our teacher repeated so often.

It's meant for Elizabeth's lovely theme of BACK TO SCHOOL over at

And today is T-STANDS-FOR -TUESDAY as well.
I hope you like poppy-seed strudel or walnut strudel which I can offer you this week .

 HAPPY  WEEK TO YOU ALL!
Thank you for visiting me today!

  11. Wow, Susi, I had never heard of the Recapitulation theory, so had to look it up. It's fun to learn something new each day, and I learned this theory today. I certainly love your birdie and the way you outlined your spread. It's the little details that make all the difference.

I truly LOVE that you are back home and sharing T with us, too. I'd love to join you for tea and poppy seed strudel. It looks marvelous.

Thanks for sharing your AJJ art and your great strudel and tea with us for T this Tuesday.

  12. I'll take the strudel- it looks like a slice for my breakfast right now would be perfect. Compared to my usual breakfast drink. What your biology teacher used to say is so funny because my teacher used to say the same thing, but I never say it. Great little bird...glad to see you back and looks like you had a great little visit with Valerie. All that coffee you both drank. :) Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  14. I forgot to tell you how much I understand that your time is limited this month. After everything not blog or art worthy I've been through the past three months, I can totally empathize. Please don't think I don't understand, because I truly do!

  15. sweet little birdie :) I used to like biology too. Your strudels look delicious!! I used to make them but not any longer-they are so time consuming! Hope you're settling back in after that wonderful trip to see Valerie. Happy T day!

I'll swap you a piece of my Victoria Sponge for a piece of your poppy strudel, it would be perfect with my mid-morning cup of tea! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)

  26. Susi....thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment! I'm glad I stopped by yours! I love your little water color birdie on your altered book pages. I enjoyed reading your blog post and boy, could I relate to not particularly being fond of science in school! I really like how you combined the watercolor bird on the pages of a natural science book and then included the sentences that your old biology teacher used to say all the time to the point where you've remembered them over the years!
