HAPPINESS IS ONLY A RIDE AWAY

We have wheels as our theme at Moo Mania & More and I thought I could use my lovely Tim Holtz  by Stampers Anonymous bicycle stamp once again. I like it very much and used it very often in the past. It has been well worth buying this stampers Anonymous rubber stamp plate .
The other motifs on the plate are super as well in my mind.

I made a collage  with some washi tapes and the bicycle was stamped on tissue and glued on as well. It's so much easier for me to use stamped images on tissue . I can check out the layout easier and I have no difficulties with inaccurate stamp impressions. The tissue melts into the background - I use
gluestick or thinned white glue to glue tissue on. I love this and do it very often.

And since it is much collaged on here
I think I will enter it into the
No Faces, No Wings, No Leaves - But COLLAGE
theme over at Art Journal Journey!

  8. Great minds and all, right? I like the stamp you used and wish I'd stamped my bicycle on tissue first. I really MUST invest in some washi tape because I like how you used it to add to the composition. Hope you Saturday goes/went well.

  12. Susi, my sincere apologies. I just NOW read your question from Nov 3: "I have to try out your technique with the alcohol thinned reinkers on normal cardstock... makes me curious- I just used glossy cardstocks until now to use alcohol inks ... I would love to know how you apply the mixture to the paper as well."

I've never owned glossy cardstock, but I've used this technique on 90 lb. cardstock, 140 lb. cardstock, watercolor paper, and regular printer/copier paper. I prefer it on cardstock, but it works ok on the printer paper, too.

I place about six drops of reinker in the container, then add alcohol until I get the color I am looking for. If I get too much alcohol, I add a couple more drops of ink.

I then saturate a foam brush with the mixture and swirl it over the paper. When I'm running low on the mixture, I first dump the last of the mix onto the pages and swirl two pages together. Then I finish by pressing the foam brush hard until it no longer gives out any color. When you go over the same color a second time, you get the unique shapes that remind me of bubbles. To wipe your cup before storing OR changing colors (especially if the colors aren't in the same monochromatic range), simply saturate a wet wipe, baby wipe, kitchen towel, or piece of dry fabric with alcohol. Two swipes is about all it takes and the cup is clean and ready to be reused over and over.

Sorry it took so long to answer this, but I just now noticed it, since I don't get updates from my spam loving e-mail.
