T- Stands for Collage with coffee and used baking paper

The slightly burned baking paper and the rest of my decaf in the mug were used to experiment on a collaged spread.

The coffee made those excellent drops.

The burnt edges of the baking paper were great to use as collage paper.

So this collaged spread in one of my Altered Books came into life.

with a little insert tag.

and a feather on  front of the tag.
I used different media like pastels, charcoal, Modge Podge,
on tissue stamped rubber stamp motifs, corrugated cardbord, washi tape and white gesso.

Of course meant for the
No Faces, No Wings, No leaves

  3. AH, gorgeous, Susi. Loving the way you used the last of your decaf to color and embellish the burnt paper and collage in your AB. This is truly lovely, and you have used layer upon layer upon layer to turn this into a rich and beautiful AB entry.

Thanks for sharing this really fun and unique way to share your coffee with us for T this Tuesday. I'm LOVING it!

  16. Super collage and such interesting materials - I was wondering what was going on when I saw your first photo ... lol! The burnt edges of the baking paper look wonderful and you have really captured a lovely grunge vintage feel on this piece! The corrugated paper and platerboard tape add another dimension to the wonderful textures you always create, it looks so tactile - perfect! A very successful experiment, wishing you a very Happy T Day! J :-)

  17. Oh Susi, this is beyond anything! Who would have thought of using the burnt baking paper to made a fabulous collage like this? I've often seen some paper burning in the fire and thought it looked good, but by then it's too late.
The arches, the key and the old feather together with the antique-like colours give a terrific atmosphere.
    Top class.

  18. Fantastic pages Susi and a great way to use the dried burnt paper. I often use the dregs [left overs] from my husbands coffee to shade papers in the craft room.
    Happy T day
