Caterpillar to Butterfly

For Erika's theme - Every Pages Tells A Story /Tell Me A Story-
at Art Journal Journey I have a spread in one of my Altered Book Journals today.

Here is the Butterfly Story according to my spread .
Alexa Allens explanations touch  my heart.

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003.

  1. Liebe Susi

    Lg Sadie

  2. Terrific page and great quote

    Love Chrissie xx

  3. A wonderful page Susi, and such a beautiful quote.
    Avril xx

  4. Wunderschöne Schmetterlingsseiten. LG Valerie

  5. Delightful, and metamorphosis is amazing 😉

    LG susa

  7. This is absolutely gorgeous!!!

  8. Hello Susi,
Your whole page looks as if it is going through a metamorphosis. It's not so much a page, more a structure, quite astonishing and beautiful.
Your last sentence was a huge surprise to me.
This blogging friendship we have together here is strange and wonderful in many ways.
    Love from Sheila

  9. This is an incredible and powerful spread. The butterfly stands apart, but the texture is what inspired me. This is a truly inspiring entry, and so was the Alexa Allens story. That cat that came into her life is just what she needed, I'm sure.

Sorry I'm so late visiting, but life truly got in the way today, as I tried to install the new phones I purchased. What should have been an easy "plug into the outlet and go" turned into a nightmare, since my internet is connected to my phone service. Need I say more?

Thanks for sharing this beautiful spread and allowing us into your private life.

  10. Ah Susi - love your spread with the soft colours and the dimension you have with the butterfly - and the words are so strong. Hugs, as I know that diagnosis is a difficult one - do hope you manage to keep an even keel these days.

    Lieben Gruss Elke

  12. A wonderful page Susi! Thanks for sharing your art and life with us.
    Alison xx

  13. I've been thinking a lot about butterflies lately. Your page really touches me-I love the texture! Its perfect for all those changes in our lives. :) Hope its been a good week so far! Here we've had some some new snow and nothing much else. Typical winter work week for me-but only 2 more days with these kids in class before exams. That is good news.:) Hugs-Erika

  14. I love your spread - especially the background -- and your butterfly looks as if it is coming off the pages.
    Sandy xx

  15. A beautiful page and quote. I found reading this and following your links very moving Susi, Thank you for sharing this and for allowing us to know something so personal from your own life.
    Yvonne xx

    Herzlichst - Ulrike

    LG Carola

  18. Your quotes are always fantastic!!! and again you made a very special page!! I just love it!!!

  19. What a stunning page Susi!!! So so different and beautifully done!! You are on fire! :)
    Suchi xx

  20. What a fabulous spread Susi - I'm so intrigued by all the elements and your design is wonderful.

  21. The textured background, the butterfly and quote all are very beautiful and and touching. Your revelation (the last sentence) surprised and moved me.

  22. So pretty, it has a white winter feel to it!!

    Hugs Giggles

  25. Thank you for sharing with us your very special, beautiful page and personal story Susi.
I couldn't help but be moved by Alexa Allen and her touching and beautiful explanation.
    Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
    Liebe Grüße Gill xx
