Post No.2244 - ART • ADV • ENT • URE

Once again I am joining Erika's theme of
NEW YEAR - NEW ADVENTURES  over at

Erika is such an amazing and inspiring hostess again. I love her ideas and all the fabulous art - adventures I can find on her blog. Not just this month but the whole year long. It's always a great pleasure for me to visit her and reading about her life and art. And she has always inspiring book reviews and the most interesting photos of her travels and from the wonderful area where she lives.  She set herself the goal of linking a page on every single day of January as she acts as our host. She motivated us to already over 100 amazing entries for the first theme of 2018, since her various ideas and inspirations spur us up to top performance    !

THANK YOU ERIKA - YOU ARE AMAZING!

I had started a collage months ago in one of my Letter Journals that I didn't like and I was glad enough to remember the good old
Peel Paint technique, that was the rescue for the spread and now I really like the spread. My actual inspiration was the following
 Einat Kessler VIDEO.

  5. I've always loved that technique, but never get very good results using it, as you probably saw when I tried it during my Second Thursday Tutorial. Your peeling paint turned out perfect. I am so glad you posted this and you show what REAL peeled paint technique should look like. It's a beautiful spread and I simply adore it. So glad you shared it as part of Erika's theme this month at Art Journal Journey. It is a fantastic entry and I simply adore it.

Glad your dental appointment went well, too. I'm just trying to warm up (grin).

  7. Wow Susi. Thank you for that nice little write up.It brought me to tears. And was well needed since yesterday one of the kids from school was killed in a sledding accident so it was a tough day at work. Luckily my students are younger than the the boy who died so they were their usual selves, but the older kids were were quite upset. Ad on a happier note, I love your adventure art piece. It looks like you had a little color and paint adventure! :) I love the little peeks through the paint at some cool papers underneath. Thanks again for your beautiful art and all the inspiration you give us also. Hugs-Erika

  12. Liebe Susi,

  16. Amazing spread! I love the fact that bits of the original journal spread can be seen peeking through the layers of paint.
