2261 .... The Cow In The Snow

We got a load of fresh snow again ....
it's just February, so I think that is o.k.!
I want to wish a nice President's Day to my friends living in the US.
I am not  good at US history but I learned
Washington's Birthday, or Presidents' Day, honors the life and work of the first president of the United States, George Washington. And that some states pay particular attention to Abraham Lincoln, as his birthday was also in mid-February, so I think my
President's Birthday "COW" fits .

  1. Your Presidents Birthday cow is perfect for the holiday and it is very pretty, too! Great art!!!

  2. There used to be separate holidays for Washington and Lincoln, but they got combined and all the other presidents got included. I don't see much observation of it other than banks and post offices being closed. I like your cow (those big, beautiful eyes!). I'm not familiar with the quote, but treating animals with respect is a stand I appreciate :) Hope it warms up there soon.

  5. The way you use colour is magical, Susi. I think your delightful cow has applied mascara to her long eyelashes for this special occasion.

  7. Your cow painting looks awesome. I love the happy colours you used. Her eyes look so big, I think she could flutter those long eyelashes as well.
The quote you added is lovely and we should look after our animals as well as the people.

  11. That quote by Abraham Lincoln does work for President Day, and thank goodness President Day isn't for the president in office now. :) I do love your beautiful bovine. She is a sweet and loving looking girl. We had some snow too-but this week it is going to be really warm and so I hope it all melts. :) Hope yours melts too-or at least it is not too cold and wintery for you. Yup, it is February. :) Happy new week Susi. Hugs-Erika

I don't know how you manage on days when you have a lot of snow - everything here seems to stop, even with just a few inches of it. Hope spring arrives soon.
