2299 - EARTH LOVES IN FLOWERS

There a a few more days left for  Jo's wonderful theme over at
I have spent much time in the garden recently and was really inspired by FLOWERS and blooming and so I created this  very messy spread in one of my journals with two of my photos .

It turned out a little bit overdone and not completely to my liking but that doesn't matter. It was fun and relaxing to get crazy on those pages.
It will also be linked to our current theme of FLOWERS over at

Much
LOVE

  1. Sometimes we just need to lose ourselves in our artwork Susi and we should not be so worried about the outcome as it is the doing and mark making that is important.
Your time spent outdoors has given you much inspiration, it is within the eyes of the artist how it is seen. By framing those flowers in such a way and outlining the words you have shown us how important they really are. Beautiful..

  10. I really like how the flowers are inside hearts. It really shows how much the earth loves flowers. Not overdone, just lost in the joy of creating. It's a great page you shared with everyone at Art Journal Journey, dear.

  13. I love the contrast between the background (which looks like pretty old wallpaper) and the photographed flowers. They each make the other part stand out. And it is a happy piece. :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Hugs-Erika

  15. Oh Susi what a fun spread - great photos and great fun going messy over them! Love that your page reminds me of a garden left 'to do it's own thing' and run a bit wild.

  27. Hi Susi, I am working backwards today as I am playing catch-up on blogging. Life and it's busyness have gotten away from me. I know you said this page is overworked but I really like it.
The first thing to catch my eye was that lovely aqua doodling that you did against those golden yellow flowers, staying true to your loose style. I would never think to mix those colors in with red and black but the neutral background and the lettering just seems to tie it all together beautifully. At least that is what my eye is telling me. ;) I love it!

  28. Isn't it fun to just create with abandon and be messy? This spread is lovely Susi and I really love that you used your own photos! This brings me right into your world- via your garden! ")
