2319 Happy 5th Anniversary Elizabeth !!!!

We have a big party at Elizabeth's blog this week as we celebrate 5 years of T- Stands- For-Tuesday!

Every Tuesday it is a special adventure to meet up with the T-S-F-T Gals over at my dear
ART JOURNAL JOURNEY / Co - Admin's blog
Altered Book Lover. Thank you Elizabeth and Bleubeard and of course  Squiggles as well that you make Tuesdays always so entertaining with the cozy T-DAY get togethers!
Thank you dear Elizabeth for hosting this great event each week with such an amount of enthusiasm!
You are simply AMAZING!

My beverage for this week is not very extravagant - just fennel tea since I like it.

I'm once again joining the inspiring  Chris of Pear Shaped Crafting. She is our wonderful host this July  at Art Journal Journey and her amazing theme is Art for art's sake

I added a quote on this spread for my new started
Free Spirit Journal, so it is a reminder for our current theme of
ADD A QUOTE over at TRY IT ON TUESDAY as well.

I hope to see you at the different challenges !

Much
LOVE
from
Susi

  1. Happy celebration week for you all! It is so true - the life does not go as we plan :) But it still offers plenty to be grateful of.

  2. Wow Susi, I'm blushing. You are far too sweet and I am grateful. Of course, so are Bleubeard and Squiggles, too.

I was quite impressed with the beautiful entry you created for Art Journal Journey. I like the sewing, the dried flowers, and the subtle way you used gesso/white paint to obliterate the words on the page. This is an incredible entry for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey dear co-admin.

It's also a perfect day for an anniversary party, and a fun time for sharing a cup of fennel tea. This looks impressive and the cup of tea is perfect, too. It's a lovely tribute to our 5th anniversary at T this Tuesday.

  12. Another beautiful spread, Susi. I love your little cross stitches and loose string.

Good quote too. That's one lesson I've learned well in life - to "go with the flow" and "bloom where [I'm] planted." (grin)

Happy 5th T-day Birthday! Hugs, Eileen

  20. Tea is always a good drink, whether it is exciting or not. I do love your page this week. That quote is great-if you haven't read any Joseph Campbell he is a good read to think about life and what gifts we have just being alive. The yellow is really pretty. The stitching and the doily help make it very feminine. Hope it was a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika

  25. Hi Susi. The T party is over and the names of the players have been thrown in the pot. Since you said you would be willing to send your
ATC to another country, I have paired you with Linda who is also willing to send overseas. It is up to you to get Linda's snail mail information. Thanks beyond belief for making this a lovely T celebration.

  33. Hi Susi, Your nature journal page is as lovely as ever. That pretty doily in the top right corner with the date stamp and stitching really caught my eye. Love that!
I love that you share all your herbal teas. I planted fennel in my garden this year even though I have no idea how to use it. I discovered the other day that the leaves taste a bit like anise, sweet. I will have to look up how to make this into a tea.
Happy Tea Day a Day Late,
    Kate

  40. To answer your question about ice skating, once a week the Ice Center has a very good deal. You pay $2.00 to skate for several hours in the afternoon. THE CATCH IS, you pay $3.00 to rent your skates. I could have saved $5.00 if I hadn't skated, but the kids goaded me into it. So, yes, it was expensive at $20.00 (USD), but it would have cost a lot more if we hadn't gone on that specific afternoon. The kids wanted to pay for the day, since they had money and hadn't spent anything since they had been in Wichita, but I didn't feel comfortable letting them pay for this, although it was their idea to go.

  41. This is an interesting quote, Susi. I am not sure that I agree with it (!) but as always, your art is sublime and with something else undefined which is beautiful and is close to the natural world.
I also like that you mention Squiggles. I am a great fan of Squiggles.
    Love,, Sheila
