2354 - Eternal spring !

If  I  have to choose one  season for the rest of my life  I would tend to take SPRING for me.  Even though I just love every season! What about you?

Can you believe it's already December? Well it is and it's also the start of a new theme over at Art Journal Journey where Elizabeth & Bleubeard start a new theme after we have had the most wonderful month with Erika's amazing hosting of November.
Thank you dear Erika, I can't express how much I enjoyed all the art this past December at Art Journal Journey Challenge.

Hop over to AJJ to learn more about Elizabeth & Bleubeard's  new theme: It's a fantastic one for sure!

I have a spread in one of my Altered Books as a first entry for the new theme: My favourite season OR 'Tis the season.

For Elizabeth's Second on the 2nd tomorrow I want to reshow a portrait I painted of our beloved Ridgeback Liyongo .

 original post HERE.

I am sad to say that after he recovered so well from his surgery this year the cancer now returned  on his bladder - their lives are simply too short! It's hard , they can't tell us when they feel off and just go on.  I will not be online often this month - hope you apologize:
I want to spend as much time as possible with our beloved boy.

MUCH
LOVE
from
SUSI

  2. This is truly sad news about Liyongo. He's in my thoughts and prayers that the vet can make him well again. It isn't fair that we outlive them. But your second on the 2nd is a truly wonderful and poignant tribute and homage to your beloved Liyongo. Thanks for this wonderful look back at a lovely painting as your second look on the 2nd.

I absolutely ADORE your beautiful spring inspired entry. The sewing is out of this world, something I am unable to do, since I have no pinch grip. Your stitches were absolutely perfect, too. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey, dear co-administrator. Please take all the time you need in order to stay with your sweet boy. We'll be here when you return.

    Wolfgang

  22. Dear Susi,
Your pages are beautiful! so artistic. Your work seems always full of such freshness and life; it is no wonder Spring is your favorite! My visits here make me smile - but not about your sweet Liyongo : ( I am sad for you : ( Your portrait of him is amazing and beautiful. You have captured Liyongo~ I remember when I first saw ( a pic of ) your dogs and they so resemble the Viszla's that we have had and loved through the years~ You told me they were Ridgebacks which I hadn't heard. Gorgeous dogs and I know full of love for you; and you for them. Wishing you wonderful moments and memories Susi. Take care. Hugs, karen o

  34. Hi Susi,
Sending hugs and love, and all my support and kind thoughts reading your sadness about your beloved dog... I know what you feel, this is always very sad times. But as you say, their life is much more shorter than ours, we cannot do anything against that. Just love them, whatever their lifetime...
And about your painting (wow!) and Spring page, so clever, free and beautiful, I love them both to bits.
