TIME FOR ZEN

I try to abide by these rules - sometimes it's a bit difficult - but it is good for me.

I painted this on Yupo Paper  after a step by step tutorial from Sandrine Pelissier.

It reminds me of my time with Ikebana 15 years ago as I made two certificates in the
Vienna School of Sogetsu Ikebana International,
I had to stop my Ikebana training after my daughter was born since it was to timeconsuming and expensive for a  mother with a baby in parental leave.

I think I will link it to our TIME theme over at ART JOURNAL JOURNEY  as well-
as to MIX IT MONTHLY - MIXED MEDIA FLOWERS .
(They are not made with scraps - hope they are also accepted)

  4. Hallo Susi,

  9. Fabulous art Susi. It does look so tranquil even with the bright colours. Super Zen list as well, like your take on the housework, mine is a no go area.

  10. I had to look up Ikebana but wow, that is very cool. I can tell you've had some training as your piece is gorgeous. I have some of that yupo paper and I need to try some mixed media on it. I might even sign up for that class-it looks very interesting, and painting flowers is very fulfilling. Have a great day!

  13. wow! This is fabulous Susi. I LOVE the circle flowers and the colours work magically. The zen list I'm copying and pasting.... totally need to apply this! I hope one day you can continue your Ikebana work.

  15. I've always enjoyed arranging flowers, but I prefer silk ones to live ones. I've always really enjoyed the art of flower arranging (Ikebana) that the Japanese accomplish. The lines are always sweeping, the arrangements sometimes overstated, but mostly understated, and always stately. Just like your lovely work here. So good to know you have this training.

BTW, I'm a multitasker, so doing one thing at a time doesn't usually work for me. I hope it does for you, because I sure like that zen list.

befolgt. Sah immer superschön aus :)

Liebe Grüße, wünsche Dir eine tolle Woche!
