Elizabeth hosts Art Journal Journey Challenge in September and she is the initiator of

the  weekly event for the T-Gang! Thank you Elizabeth
for all the hard work you do for all your blogfriends!
You, your art and your blog - all together is just a pleasure for me!

Elizabeth has chosen the theme
for this month
and we all would be thrilled to see many of you this month
at the challenge (again).

So now to my entry ....
I made the pages some times ago - without the blackboard pieces on it- they are made with black gesso and a correction pen in white as well as a white chinamarker and I didn't know how to
go on with the page even though  I loved the colors I got...but sometimes backgrounds have to rest to meet the perfect theme or idea-lol.
I think it was good that I waited for an occasion to bring it to an end.
The black and white accents now make it well finished in my mind!

My daughter hates to make HOMEWORK... and for sure she inherited that from me-
I  remember that I hated to do homework as well!

as I  found that fun HOMEWORK
definition I knew I had to use it - so cool:

And now......
I want to say hello to the lovely T-Stands-For-Tuesday gang this week ...
what about a very healthy breakfast with me today?
Selfmade well flavoured carrot-spread on Pumpernickel
with cashews and fruit pulp made of
mashed nectarines, banana and coconutflakes and cinnamon.
A wonderful cup of decaf with fresh cream and cinnamon-
that is a great start for me!
Hope you all are well and wishing a happy T-Day!!

  1. Love your spread there Susi - it is perfect for the mug and homework definition. Homework didn't really worry me - I just plugged on =and got it done.
Your breakfast looks yummy and healthy.

  2. Wonderful journal spread, and most people don't like homework. I must admit I preferred homework to housew***k! I saw someone eating a breakfast just like that yesterday!.... Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  3. Love your pages Susi and great inspiration for back to school xx

  4. Guten Morgen Susi

    happy t-day, Susi!

  7. Brilliant Susi, and you are right, sometimes we just have to wait for the right moment. I absolutely LOVE thata homework quote, so totally true! our breakfast looks indeed very healthy!

  8. Who every did like homework, I have yet to meet that person, its a great page and quote that you found. Your breakfast looks yummy, I think you would have really enjoyed it.
    Happy T Day
    Yvonne xx

  10. Mmm, looks like a wonderful breakfast :-). Your tray is gorgeous too! I love your pages, the textures and colours are beautiful, it's so bright and cheery! Sitting down with a nice hot drink is just what you need to complete your homework too! Wishing you a Happy T day! J :-)

  11. What an incredible Back to School entry, and it even fit beautifully with TSFT, too. Some homework I didn't mind, some was pure torture. But I fear I am one of those who often has random knowledge that is useless until needed. Sort of like your brilliant background that needed to be coaxed into the right setting.

Your breakfast looks so, so healthy. Thanks for sharing it, as well as your lovely art with us for T this Tuesday. Have a good trip, too.

  12. Loving your T art Susi. And I am with you, I hate homework too. I still get it sometimes when I have a lot of work to catch up on. Giving it to kids just to give them busy work is such waste of time. I think homework should only be for when there is a reason to do it-like finishing work or maybe being prepared for class. Loving your breakfast! Yum! Hppy T day. Hugs-Erika

  13. Great page and I agree that homework is a waste of time for a lot of pupils and for teachers who have to mark it.

Love the healthy looking snack =yummy!

    Chrissie xx

  14. Klasse Homework - so macht Schule Spaß! LG Ulrike

  15. great balance of colors and images on your wonderful school spread Susi! And your breakfast looks like a perfect start to the day for me-yum. Happy T day!

  16. Such colorful pages. Isn't it interesting how you can create something and be not quite happy with it and then go back with a fresh look and end up with something you like? I do like the homework quote too.

  17. Looks wonderful! The colours are super! First day back to school for my daughter but she was thrilled and loves homework, lol. Go figure!

  18. I think the schools have the kids all the live-long day and shouldn't get to direct the rest of their time too. Ban homework! ;) Your breakfast looks like proof that healthy food can taste batter than junk food. Happy and healthy T Tuesday! :)

  19. What a cool expansion of H.O.M.E.W.O.R.K!! LOVE your colorful AJ page!! Susi, the breakfast looks yummmmmmmmmmmmmm! :P

  20. Ummm YUM on your gorgeous breakfast!
    I'll be right over ;-)
What a clever addition to your lovely pages.
The HOMEWORK definition is right on!
You are right about stepping away from things being helpful sometimes.
Happy T Day liebe Susi oxo

  21. How wonderful that your breakfast is all homemade Susi! I'm not quite sure it would be on my list of breakfast food..lol I do half-caff coffee every morning so the drink sound YUM!

Love the chalkboard effect on your artjournal page... I'm one of those weird people that if not enjoy i at least didn't mind homework...lol Happy happy T day!! Hugs! deb

  23. Such a WONDERFUL AJJ page.......I LOVE the definition of homework. I hated having homework through out my school years too!
Looks like you have a good breakfast to start the day.
Thank you for the T-day comment.

  24. What fabulous spread - I won't be sharing that homework definition with my Grandson! His first day back at school today and I spoke to him on the phone a while ago - he is not a happy boy today - one of his subject teachers is someone he doesn't like!!! Luckily he is happy with the timetable he has and the other subject teachers. Your breakfast looks delicious! Chrisx

  26. Great spread, Susi! I had to giggle about the homework definition. Your breakfast looks good. Now I'm craving pumpernickel. :)
Ich wünsche Dir einen schönen Tag!
    Liebe Grüße

  27. Roaring with laughter over that definition, Susi...it's a good thing my kids hadn't heard that when they were in school!

  28. Tolle Seite, lustiger Spruch und natürlich wunderbare Farbkombi!
    Liebe Grüße
