2283 Happy Journey Erika!

My friend Erika starts a fantastic journey this week . She visits Japan! Oh I would love to visit Japan as well. Maybe once in my life?! We will see!
Happy Journey dear Erika!
And as last week's ATC Challenge was "Asia" at TMTA
and I started to recycled  old ATC's here on this spread in my
a kind of "Japanese" Junk Journal spread it is for you Erika!
HAPPY JOURNEY!

It's meant for Alison's "Recycle and Collage" theme at
Art Journal Journey  and I show some of the  Asia ATCs
of my collection here as well for TMTA, even though I am too late.

But I have an ATC for this week's TMTA theme "locomotive, train" also found in my stash and recycled it digital .

and  this was the old, original ATC

Thanks for looking!
Hugs,
Susi

  3. That is a super page Susi and an even better bon voyage message too! :) I love the collage and the Japanese images. The pink and orange are a great choice! I am getting very excited and have my camera all ready so I will have lots of photos to show you when I get back-maybe too many! :) Now I am just trying to decide whether to use a medium suitcase or find a large suitcase so I can buy myself a kimono and get some other gifts also. I also have a small sketchbook and some pens packed so I can maybe do some doodling-at least on the plane. Looking at your page is making me get even more excited, as you can tell because I am responding to your post while at work which I usually don't do. Thanks again for the fantastic bon voyage page. I really appreciate you thinking of me and my trip. Hugs-Erika

  7. Your Japanese page does look Japanese in a minimalist way although it actually isn't minimalist, and I like it a lot in ways I can't quite describe. A Zen-Balance-Journal sounds pretty fascinating and who wouldn't like to have a little stroll through that.
ATC's are fun too, especially with a little bit of recycling of an older one.

  8. What a wonderful tribute to Erika. Your Geisha girls are fabulous, and so is the entire beautiful spread. And of course, I adore how some of the text shows through in the background. And, I love the fact you shared it on AJJ, too.

Of course I love your ATCs. I really MUST create a few next month. Each of yours is fabulous, but the latest digital creation is awesome.

I also wanted to tell you, I went back and looked at Nancy's writing, and the lady she referenced was Kristen Robinson. However, the short video didn't include the ironing process. Next time, I will probably use parchment paper between the lines. Thanks for letting me know about the technique, too. Apparently Kristen wrote a book and now the "lessons" aren't free.

  12. Susi I love your Asian themed art- so beautiful!!! Love the ATCs. I didn't know Erika was going to Japan. Somehow I missed that. How cool! I have a bin of Asian themed stamps and papers but haven't used them in awhile...I also happen to like both your new and older version of the masculine card. You are to be commended for your daily creativity and frequent posting- I don't know how you manage it all. Hugs!
