2295 Grow your dreams like flowers

I will link a Mixed media painting in an old book to  Art Journal Journey today, where the talented Jo hosts FLORA & FAUNA" this May. You are just AMAZING Jo! A big  Thank you to all the participating  artists for joining our challenge with such enthusiasm.
The Art Journal Journey family means the world to Elizabeth and me! Thank you for all your wonderful support girls!

I used Acrylic paint, oilpastels, hard pastels and acrylic ink and white gesso, a white correction pen and the black ink brush from Pentel for the quote.
It will also be linked to Moo Mania & More where we have FLOWERS as our current topic .

Much LOVE

  1. Wow, what beautiful pages of flowers! I love the contrast of the red and pink pom-pom flower heads and the lovely texture of the petals that you created 😁. This AJJ entry really makes me feel very happy with the uplifting quote that you included as well, so true! I appreciate your kind words too and thank you so much for your and Elizabeth's support this month! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and wishing you a happy new week dear Susi! J 😊 x

  2. That is a very cool way to make flowers. I really like them and would have never thought of doing that. I may have to borrow your idea one of these days. I am in the middle of playing today but it is so humid here-dark and looks like rain too, that nothing is drying very well. Grrr. Think I will need o pull out the heat gun. Hope your weekend was good. I am enjoying mine and have decided it is time for summer break. Too bad I can't really start it for another month. :) Hugs-Erika

  9. Those flowers, so colorful and bright, made my day. They are both beautiful and whimsical. I love the different warm colors you chose for the flowers and the contrasting cool yellows and greens for the background.

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, Art Journal Journey would be NOTHING without you, dear Susi. You are the foundation, and the heart and soul there. The hosts, with their monthly themes, are the glue that holds it all together. Thank you for all you do at Art Journal Journey, dear friend.

  11. Susi this is incredible, I love the fullness of the flowers you have achieved using the pastels, blended so well with the white pen letting us know exactly which way the sun beats down on these beauties. A delightful quote to start off the week.
Wishing you a super creative week Hugs Tracey xx
